This year, my son is taking on the Junior Great North Run to raise money for asthma and lung health, in loving memory of his great nanna, who sadly lived with emphysema.

His great nanna wasn’t just his great nanna — she was his best friend. They shared a very special bond, and she meant the absolute world to him. Losing her was incredibly difficult for everyone, but he wanted to do something positive in her memory and help raise awareness and support for those living with lung conditions.

Every step he takes on the day will be for his Great Nanna Brenda💙
