I CANT BELIEVE I AM SAYING THIS BUT I AM RUNNING THE LONDON MARATHON!!!
Every minute, someone in the UK is diagnosed with a lung condition. I want to make a difference. I'm running the London Marathon 2027 for Asthma + Lung UK, the only UK charity that fights for everyone’s right to breathe.
This cause has shaped so much of my life. I’ve had asthma for as long as I can remember, and growing up I suffered with many asthma attacks throughout childhood. Something as simple as running around or playing hockey often became a struggle to breathe, even with inhalers, and there were so many moments where I questioned my fitness and my ability compared to everyone else.
Asthma has also affected my family, with my dad living with it too. Most recently, being prescribed a new inhaler has genuinely made the world of difference to my breathing. To now be training for and running the London Marathon feels incredibly rewarding and empowering.
Every mile I run will be for everyone living with asthma and lung conditions- Just £24 can support a researcher at the start of their career to carry out an hour of lung health research to ensure we attract and keep the best scientific minds to focus on lung disease.
I’m so so grateful for any support along the way.
