Running For Jane 🪽💫🩷
I am running the 2027 London Marathon🥹🏃🏻♀️➡️🪽a dream of mine since i started running!!
Due to injury and a really rough time mentally I had to sadly defer my 2026 place but the road to London is officially back on!!!
Not only is this a huge moment for myself but to make it even more special I am running in memory of my beloved Auntie Jane who I lost in 2022. Jane meant the absolute world to me and since she passed there has always been a missing piece in my life. All I have wanted to do since then is make her proud of her “wee beanie” and this feels like a peak moment to do so. ❤️🩹
I am so proud to be running for Asthma and Lungs UK a charity who fight for everyone’s right to breath. Every minute, someone in the UK is diagnosed with a lung condition. This is a cause extremely close to my heart as my Auntie Jane suffered from COPD and as a tribute to her I want to make as much of a difference as possible. Every pound I’m able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs. I have been set the goal of raising £2,500 and I would honestly be so beyond thankful for any support, whether it’s big or small.
This time round it feels as though there is so much more in this for me. Making my Auntie Jane proud and raising money for an amazing charity remains the most important, but part of this is now for me. The past few months have been rough on me mentally and there has been moments where I’ve wanted to give up with it all, but running this marathon is my chance to prove to myself (& others) that the darkness doesn’t last forever!! Crossing that finish line next year will mean so so so much more than just completing 26.2 miles 💫🤞🏻🥹
Running has felt like a lifeline to me in the past so now it’s time to get that back and although I know this will be the hardest thing I have ever pushed myself to do, I have never felt more motivated or proud to still have this opportunity a year later.
