Running the London Marathon with Asthma + Lung UK is deeply personal to me. I am running in memory of my dad, whose lung disease impacted not only his health, but our entire family. Watching someone you love struggle to breathe changes the way you see the world. It taught me how precious every breath truly is.

My dad was strong, hardworking, and always there for our family, but lung disease slowly took away so many of the things he loved. Through his journey, I saw firsthand the emotional and physical toll that respiratory illness can have, not just on patients, but on everyone who loves them. That experience has stayed with me ever since.

Running has become a meaningful outlet for me. It represents resilience, gratitude, and the ability to keep moving forward even through difficult moments. The opportunity to run the London Marathon for Asthma + Lung UK feels like a powerful way to honor my dad’s memory while supporting others facing similar battles.

I am so grateful to Asthma & Lung UK for this opportunity. I hope to use this marathon not only as a personal tribute, but also as a chance to raise awareness and funds for research, advocacy, and support for those living with lung conditions.

Every mile I run in London will be for my dad, and for every family who understands what it means to watch a loved one struggle for breath.
