I’m running the London Marathon 2027 to fight for lung health!

In 2027, I'll be taking on the challenge of running the London Marathon for Team Breathe, and I wanted to share why this means so much to me.

When I was just three years old, I was diagnosed with asthma. For as long as I can remember, it's been a part of my life. Asthma isn't something people always see, but for those of us who live with it, we know how much it can affect everyday life. There have been times when simply breathing hasn't been something I could take for granted.

Growing up with asthma has taught me resilience, but it has also shown me how important awareness, support, and research are. That's one of the reasons I've decided to take on this incredible challenge. I want to help raise money for people living with asthma and other lung conditions, and I want to show that having a condition like asthma doesn't have to stop you from achieving your goals.

This challenge has become even more personal recently. My Grandad was diagnosed with COPD, and seeing someone I love face the realities of a serious lung condition has made me realise just how important the work of charities like Team Breathe is. Respiratory conditions affect millions of people and their families, yet they often don't receive the attention they deserve.

Running 26.2 miles is going to be one of the toughest things I've ever done. There will be days when training feels hard, days when motivation is low, and days when my asthma reminds me that I have to work that little bit harder. But that's exactly why I'm doing it.

Every mile I run will be for everyone who struggles with asthma, COPD, and other respiratory conditions. It will be for the children learning to manage asthma for the first time, for families supporting loved ones with lung disease, and for people who need hope, support, and better treatments in the future.

My goal is to raise £2,500, and every donation, no matter how small, will help make a difference. If you're able to support me, thank you from the bottom of my heart. If you can't donate, sharing my page and helping spread awareness would mean just as much.

Thank you for being part of this journey with me. Together, we can raise awareness, support those affected by respiratory conditions, and prove that these conditions do not define what people are capable of achieving.

Now it's time to start training for 26.2 miles!
