26.2 miles for Asthma & Lung UK - London Marathon 2027!

I’m running the London Marathon for Asthma and Lung UK in honour of my little boy Sonny who is 4 years old and lives with asthma. Over time, Sonny’s asthma has led to several hospital visits and admissions, and he is now under the care of a paediatrician to help manage his condition, he also has to take daily medication to keep it under control. 

As a family, Asthma and Lung UK have been an invaluable source of support. Their advice, information and resources have helped us recognise the early warnings signs of an asthma attack, understand how to manage his symptoms effectively, and know when it’s time to seek urgent medical help. This knowledge has made a huge difference to our confidence in caring for Sonny during what can sometimes be very scary times, one occasion being just back in March/April whilst on holiday on a cruiseship! 

Asthma + Lung UK does incredible work supporting people affected by lung conditions across the UK. They provide expert advice, fund vital research into lung diseases, campaign for cleaner air and better healthcare, and help families like ours navigate the challenges of living with asthma.

I would like to raise as much money as possible so that this amazing charity can continue supporting many other children and families facing similar challenges.
