Lauren’s London Marathon 2027 ♡
In 2022, my cousin Courtney was diagnosed with two incredibly rare, life-threatening lung conditions, PAH and PVOD. She went on to have a double lung transplant in June 2023 and for a while it really felt like she was starting to look ahead again. But after an incredibly tough few months in critical care, Courtney sadly passed away in October 2023 at just 22 years old.
So now, I’m running the London Matathon for her. To celebrate her life, to share her story, and to raise money for Asthma + Lung UK, a charity that’s become really close to my heart.
I’ll be thinking of her the whole way round (and realistically, probably laughing, crying, and wondering what on earth I’ve signed up for 😅).
