London Marathon 2027

I’m running the London Marathon 2027 to fight for lung health after my Grandma passed away from lung cancer last September.

Every minute, someone in the UK is diagnosed with a lung condition. That’s why I’m running the 2027 London Marathon for Asthma + Lung UK as part of Team Breathe — the only UK charity fighting for everyone’s right to breathe. Every pound raised will help bring us one step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs.

This cause is deeply personal to me. Last September, I lost my Grandma to lung cancer. She was first diagnosed with a lung condition in June, without ever fully understanding exactly what it was, and sadly passed away just a few months later, after a long period suffering in hospital. My Grandma was full of life, brought so much joy to those around her, and didn’t deserve the suffering she went through. I’m taking on this challenge in her memory and to help support earlier diagnosis and better care for people living with lung conditions. I hope I can make her proud, she always thought I was crazy for running!

I also lost my Grandpa eight years ago to COPD and pneumonia after struggling with a severe cough for a long time. Neither of my grandparents ever smoked, which shows how important lung health awareness and research are for everyone.

I’ve chosen to run for this charity in honour of both my Grandma and Grandpa. Any support or donation, no matter how small, would mean so much to me and will help support the fight for better lung health.
