I’m running the London Marathon 2027 to fight for lung health!

Every minute, someone in the UK is diagnosed with a lung condition. I want to make a difference. I'm running the London Marathon 2027 for Asthma + Lung UK, the only UK charity that fights for everyone’s right to breathe. Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs.

Just £24 can support a researcher at the start of their career to carry out an hour of lung health research to ensure we attract and keep the best scientific minds to focus on lung disease.

I am running the London marathon 2027 in memory of my Dad and Amy. Many of you who know me know my dad sadly passed away in February due to complications with his diabetes, but the reason I am running for Asthma and lung UK is not only because he suffered from a young age with asthma, but also my nan who still has troubles to this day and also for Amy, my girlfriend Zoe's sister, who on the 21st of October 2022 left behind her 2 wonderful children Bailey and Orla, who were only 4 years old and 8 months old, and her fiance Keagan from a severe asthma attack at only 22 years old.

I never knew Amy as I only got to know her family after she passed away. But the stories I am told of her are filled with kindness and love that shouldn't of been taken away so soon.

I found inspiration to run the london marathon after spectating Zoe and Amy's brother James and their other family members running in 2026 shortly after my dad passed away. The atmosphere is unmatched to anything ive seen in my life time and I was adamant at first I wasnt going to sign up, but I found my self buying my first ever running shoes on the train home. And here we are now!

Asthma and lung are a great charity who work endlessly to further research into asthma and other lung conditions, but also spreading awareness as many people still believe its not as serious matter. 

As Amy's family have worked with asthma and lung in the past we know for certain all money that is raised is going to a good cause.
