My story

I was born premature, and asthma has been part of my life since day one. It might sound like a small thing, an inhaler here, a prescription there but anyone who's lived with it knows it's anything but. It's making sure I never run out of medicine. It's the countless hospital visits, with family or friends rushing me in during an attack, not knowing how bad it would be until we get there.

In 2023, I lost my grandma to an asthma attack. That loss changed everything for me. It's what pushed me to start running, to look after myself, mentally and physically, in a way that honours her.

Now I'm taking on the biggest challenge of my life: the London Marathon 2027. On that Sunday, I'll be running every one of those 26.2 miles for her, and for every family who's ever sat in a hospital waiting room or stayed up at night making sure the flare ups have calmed down.

Lung conditions are lifelong. For some families, even something as simple as breathing comes with a cost they can't always afford, prescriptions, time off work, nurse visits for on going care. I'm raising money to help support families through diagnosis, so no one has to face this alone or worry about the cost of staying well.

This is bigger than a race for me. Every mile is personal.

Thank you so much for reading my story and being part of this journey. Every donation, big or small, gets me closer to my goal and honestly, it would mean the world.

Sommy - I remember those early singing days, where you worked on your singing despite the asthma, and your dedication led to that amazing, strong, wonderful voice. And now a marathon! Am so proud of you! xxx
